Apply online 6-8 weeks before your course completion. You'll need:
Processing time: 6-8 weeks. You'll receive clearance via email. Keep a copy for employers. You cannot work in aged care until clearance is granted.
Once cleared, you can apply for aged care positions across NSW. Your screening is valid for 3-5 years (depending on type) and recognized by all aged care providers in NSW.
From mid-2026: New Aged Care Worker Screening Check will replace current system
